The Rules of Ch’i

November 4th, 2009

Practical Feng Shui

The flow of energy is dependent on a number of things , and the way it flows varies, too. Ch’i has certain likes and dislikes, and if we want it to flow well, we are advised to prepare the groundwork first.

If we don’t, the ch’i can stagnate, become too fast, become too dull or lethargic, or simply turn into sha, which brings ill-health and bad luck.

Ch’i likes to flow along clear and harmonious routes. This means no  clutter and no obstructions. It also like neatness, cleanliness, order, curves, and balance. If your home needs redecorating, do it, or the ch’i will be also in need of attention. If your home is cluttered and messy, clear it up, or the ch’i will be also be in need of attention.

If your home is cluttered and messy, clear it up, or the ch’i will become confused. If your home is dark and badly lit, the ch’i will; be stale and listless. Ch’i favors hidden corners, but it doesn’y like to stagnate there. Corners are fine as long as the ch’i can circulate well.
